Company History
Our company began, due to the efforts of Claude R. Eidson, as Eidson Metal Products, Inc. in 1964. Claude began the tradition of manufacturing quality steel and metal products, customer specified fabrications, and above and underground storage tanks. He built a company with a reputation and tradition of quality at competitive prices. Under Claude's foresighted leadership, Eidson Metal Products, Inc. became an organization of talented people with a constant awareness of the economic, industrial and environmental factors that challenge our customers.

At time of the Brown Minneapolis Tank acquisition, Eidson Steel Products, Inc. changed its corporate name to Eidson·Brown-Minneapolis Tank Co. to reflect the acquisition and merger of the company's trade names.

On March 3, 2001, the assets of well know mid west tank builder by the name of SEFCO, Inc. located in Tulsa, OK were acquired. The company was named SEFCO - Eidson BMT, LLC. The management team of SEFCO has remained essentially unchanged and intact since the acquisition. SEFCO for the last three years has averaged sales in excess of $9 million annually and is on track for exceeding $10 million in 2002.

On August 28, 2001 the assets of Reliable Steel, Inc located in Olympia, WA were acquired. The company was named Reliable Steel - Eidson BMT, LLC. The management team of Reliable Steel has remained essentially unchanged and intact since the acquisition.

Name Change

Our desire to consolidate our operations and to establish an even larger market identity resulted in name changes of the operating companies. In order to establish a unified identity and presence, the companies decided to centralize on the Brown-Minneapolis Tank name. The theme would be that each operating entity now represented a region of the nation.
